Description

Wondered when we'd get options to lower the friction on coasters, or even completely remove it? Well, uh, I guess on Cheat Day it makes a lot of sense.

The great guys at Frontier granted me early knowledge of two cheats to reveal them in this video on Cheat Day. The first, activated by renaming a guest "James Taylor" - senior designer - lowers the friction of coasters. The second, activated by renaming a guest "Andy Fletcher" - lead designer - removes friction alltogether.

The cheats apply to the entire map at a time, and include all rollercoasters and tracked rides that use friction. They'll speed up any coaster, but also log flumes and rapid rivers. Go Karts won't be unstoppable though, and the loss of friction only works as long as the vehicles are still on their 'track' so to speak, as far as I know you can't commit to physics-breaking peepbowling.

These cheats have been here all along, as far as I can tell - at least since the 1.2 update, since I hadn't updated the game since. If you have the time, you could look up the Planet Coaster credits and insert all the names of lead- and senior developers. I'm just speculating at this point, but it could go somewhere ;)

Tune in tonight at 7PM BST to see all the cheats being revealed live in the Planet Coaster community stream!
