Final Fantasy 16 departs from the traditional format of the series, with crunchy real-time combat and a focus on darker political machinations as the world of Valisthea is torn apart by warring nations. Getting your head around the chewy lore of FF16 is part of the pleasure, helped by being in the company of some insta-favourite characters: Clive, Cid and Jill. Oh, and as you can see from our glorious Final Fantasy 16 gameplay, the game is properly gorgeous, scaling from bucolic fields to titanic battles that shred the landscape. FFXVI truly has it all.
