The PCR & ART test is used to detect the presence of the virus in the blood, and can be used to determine if the person is currently infected or not. The test is also used to monitor the progression of the infection and to determine when a person is no longer infectious. The test can be performed at the SpeediMed Clinic, and results are usually ready within 24 hours.
